Derek Twigg
Home Up War Cemeteries Derek Twigg

Earlier this year I was sent some photos by Derek Twigg from a trip he had taken to Crete.  Derek had been to Hill 107 and then trekking up into the White Mountains.  As you can see, the views are pretty good!
Derek is the Labour M.P. for Halton near Widnes.  After the May 2005 General Election Derek was assigned the role of Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Transport.

From the German cemetery on Hill 107, looking out over Maleme airfield.

A 'moonscape' in the White Mountains.

Derek on the top of Pahnes in the White Mountains.

Overlooking Samaria and Omalos. In the middle is where the King of Greece was taken off in May 1941.
